James Alex Thomson is a film director based in London. Working initially in theatre, James began in film as assistant to Michael Douglas.

After a number of years freelancing for high profile actors and directors on studio and indie films, James began a full-time role as creative assistant to Rami Malek.

In 2024 James left to found Cannibal Pictures, where he makes commercial films with an indie spirit.
